Classical Revolution: Organization that puts on
performances of contemporary chamber music in unconventional settings. Though
founded in San Francisco, there are now 30 chapters in cities across the United
States, Canada and Europe.

Flutronix: Flute duo based in New York, which
describes itself as a “a unique blend of classical music, hip-hop, electronic
programming and soulful vocals…” They publish their own music and present
workshops for both university and K-12 students.
3.
Mercury Quartet: UK based band consisting of
violin, clarinet, cello and piano (since they formed initially in order to
perform Messiaen’s Quartet for the End of Time). They play well known
contemporary works such as Pierrot Lunaire, work on commissions, and perform some
of their own compositions which are improvised. They also give workshops around
the UK.
